The Power of a Good Podcast

I know I’m not the only stay at home mom that goes stir crazy with the usual daily life. Let me just tell you about the power that listening to a motivational, inspiring, empowering podcast daily can boost your energy.

Sometimes, no amount of coffee will open my eyelids to be awake enough to keep up with my toddler all day long after a long night of being up with my newborn. I have tried numerous different things to try to get my energy up during the day. I have found that nothing has quite been able to boost my mood than listening to a really good, motivational podcast. I started with the Rachel Hollis Podcast a few years ago and listening to her tell stories about being a mom of young children and also an aspiring entrepreneur and hearing that some of the struggles I was experiencing as a new mom, a woman, and businesswoman, was something that others struggled with as well was so refreshing. Seriously if you want some business and mom motivation along with some good laughs, start at the beginning of her podcast in 2017 and start boosting your moods on the regular. She started a line of journals for every-day gratitude and it’s extremely easy to follow, and a great way to set up some goals for yourself and get them out into the universe on the daily. It’s easy to get addicted to the feeling of getting stuff done and having someone in your ear telling you that you are indeed a bad ass and to just keep pushing because you never know what tomorrow will bring.

Another Podcast I have been listening to lately has been the Almost30 Podcast. Not as much motivational business talk in this one as much as just talking about all of the relevant things in life to where I’m at in life these days. I enjoy all the topics the 2 women that run the podcast discuss and they often have a guest expert on the topic they are covering in the episode. Just a great thing to have in your ear while doing laundry or housework.

The last types of Podcasts I will listen to will be hobby podcasts, or things that I am interested in learning about. I am currently starting a cut flower garden and am listening to a few podcasts about flower gardening.

If you’re like me at all and need something that makes you feel more accomplished during a day of stay-at-home mom tasks, que up a good podcast and let your ears do the work for you that day. You will feel more awake and ready to tackle the tasks at hand, and you might even learn something in the process!

See ya next time!
